Abstract

Recently, in the economy, in connection with the transition to a digital economy, the terms digital platforms and ecosystems are often used. The concept of an ecosystem appeared in ecology to emphasize the role of the interconnectedness of all biological processes. However, it turned out that consistency and interconnectedness is important not only in nature, but also in business. The development of digital technologies has led to the description of business processes in the form of ecosystems. The article provides a systematic analysis of the concept of an ecosystem. Their classification is given, types and properties are described. The economic ecosystem is a collection of interconnected companies that form a single whole. Ecosystems include producers, suppliers and consumers united by collaborative processes. Digital ecosystems come together on a single digital platform. For digital ecosystems, the issue of their sustainability is considered. From the point of view of creating digital ecosystems, public and private ecosystems can be distinguished. In the digital age, the traditional collaboration networks of firms have gradually evolved into a new ecosystem with cross-industry and complementary characteristics. Digital ecosystems are often made up of multiple complementary firms that work together to achieve a common value proposition. The studies conducted in the article show that the creation of private ecosystems is more sustainable with state support for digital development. The technological features of transport ecosystems are also described. The transport ecosystem is the lifeblood of the city. The basis of the transport ecosystem of the city are railways and metro. Transport ecosystems are integrated with economic and reference ecosystems.
