Abstract

Subject. This article discusses the issues of Russia's policy in the Middle East and support for the country's military-industrial complex. Objectives. The article aims to identify the factors influencing the consolidation of Russia's position in the world arms market. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of comparative, structural, and statistical analyses. Results. The article finds that the export of Russian-made weapons has increased since the start of the military operation in Syria. Of all the types of equipment, military aircraft are in the greatest demand abroad. Conclusions. Russia's participation in the civil war in Syria on the side of the central government has contributed to the consolidation of our country's position in the global arms market.
