Abstract
AbstractThe compound Bi(TeSitBu2Ph)3 (1) was obtained from the reaction of BiCl3 with tBu2PhSiTeSiMe3 in diethyl ether. The single crystal structure analysis revealed a trigonal pyramidal structure of the BiTe3 core and weak Bi···C(arene) contacts. Compound 1 was characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Thermogravimetric experiments show that compound 1 decomposes with formation of Bi2Te3 or a mixture of elemental bismuth and Bi4Te3, depending on the pressure conditions.
