Abstract

We report on the synthesis of 0.91NaNbO3-0.09SrZrO3/SrRuO3/MgO(001) heterostructure by the single-stage radio frequency cathode sputtering method. Addition of 9% of SrZrO3 to sodium niobate results in the room temperature antiferroelectric state of the 0.91NaNbO3–0.09SrZrO3 film, which is evidenced from double loop-shaped hysteresis of electric polarization. Temperature evolution of the dielectric constant reveals a diffuse maximum at ∼ 325 K, which can be ascribed to the structural phase transition. At room temperature, the film shows the storage density of 1284 mJ/cm3 and storage efficiency of 76%.
