Abstract

Hierarchical mesoporous ZrO 2-carbon fiber was successfully synthesized by using collagen fiber as a structure-directing agent, and characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The ZrO 2-carbon fiber obtained is approximately 1–4 μm in outer diameter and 0.5–1 mm in length, and the surface of the fiber exhibits ordered corn-cob-like mesoporous morphology.
