Abstract

The paper describes the structural-phase state and sorption characteristics of the Ti21.5V40Cr38.5 alloy synthesized by melting in abnormal glow discharge plasma and arc melting. X-ray diffraction patterns showed the presence of the main TiVCr phase with a body-centered cubic (bcc) lattice and Ti2O phase with a hexagonal close packed (hcp) lattice. The maximum hydrogen capacity of the samples obtained by melting in abnormal glow discharge plasma after 3 cycles was 3 wt%.
