Abstract
The auto-moisturization strategy was utilized for the preparation of Ag-doped and undoped spinel nickel-cobalt oxide (NiCo2O4). X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the synthesized materials. The surface morphology of as synthesized materials was investigated using scanning electron microscopy. The photocatalytic efficiency of the prepared materials was evaluted using crystal violet as model dye. The photocatalysis studies were carried out under solar light. The prepared nanocomposite showed the maximum degradation efficiency among all the prepared nanocatalysts. The use of sunlight to degrade organic effluents is an excellent method for pollution control and wastewater treatment.
