Abstract

We present the synthesis and biological evaluation of a Novel series of s- triazine derivative with substituted amines under standard reaction condition with microwave assisted method. The intermediate 4, 6-dicchloro-N-(pyrazin-2-yl)-1,3,5-triazine-2-amine (1) was substituted with various amines and novel compounds were synthesized by a multistep reaction with high yield and purity. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by different characterization techniques like IR, UV, Mass spectrometry, 1H NMR, 13C NMR. Furthermore, newly synthesized derivatives were tested for three antimicrobial species (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas fluorescens and staphylococcus aureus), two antifungal species (Aspergillus Niger and Candida albicans) by disc diffusion method. The novel series of s-triazine derivatives show that all have promising potential against tested bacteria, fungi. The synthesized derivatives also evaluated against two viral species (Dengue and Hepatitis B). The result suggested that among the tested derivative, compound 4 showed the highest antiviral activity against Dengue and Hepatitis B virus and compound 6 showed antiviral activity against Hepatitis B virus.
