Abstract
Ethylene/propylene (EP) co-oligomers were synthesized in the presence of the catalyst systems [Me2Si(Cp)2]ZrCl2 and [Me2C(Cp)2]ZrCl2 with varying polymerization temperature and content of propylene in consumption. The structure and properties of the EP co-oligomers were investigated by DSC, GPC and 13C-NMR. Long-chain branched co-polymers with a crystalline main chain and amorphous side chains derived from EP co-monomers were synthesized in a presence of the catalyst [η 5-C5Me4SiMe2N t Bu]TiCl2. The excess of EP co-monomers was soluble in toluene and could be easily separated by Soxhlet extraction from the LCB polymers. The influence of amorphous side chains on the melting behaviour of the LCB polymers was detected by DSC.
