Abstract
AbstractEliminations leading from enol sulfonates, enol phosphates, and enol phosphonium salts to alkynes are reviewed. Olefin eliminations are usually the rate‐determining step in the formation of the triple bond. Enol esters may also play a role in the biosynthesis of alkynes.
