Abstract
AbstractA thermotropic liquid crystalline polyester (LCP) with a flexible spacer group in the main chain has been synthesized by polycondensation and mixed with poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). The influence of the LCP's contents on thermal properties of the blends has been determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). LCP and blends were also characterized by Carbon 13 Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA).
