Abstract

A supported amorphous Ni-B/TiO2-Al2O3 catalyst was synthesized by a silver-catalyzed electroless plating method. To control the deposition of Ni-B particles on support, the distribution and load of silver clusters were designed by combining the photocatalysis of TiO2 and the sol-gel technique. The as-prepared catalyst exhibits superior catalytic activity in the hydrogenation of sulfolene.
