Synthesis of a New Biologically Active α‐Ketothioamide Quinolone Derivatives

Abstract

In order to improve of biological activities a series of antibiotic drugs, we reacted quinolone derivatives with arylglyoxals and sulfur element at present sodium sulfide as a catalyst in DMF under reflux conditions. The α‐ketothioamide quinolone derivatives were synthesized via Willgerodt–Kindler reaction in good to excellent yields (83–95%).
