AbstractThe synthesis of 1,3,4-oxadiazoles from 1,2-diacylhydrazines has been achieved using SO₂F₂ as a straightforward and effective reagent for dehydrative cyclisation, both in the absence of metal catalysts and under milder conditions. The reaction exhibited good functional group tolerance and yielded high levels of product.
