Abstract

Two Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) materials, namely, [Eu(bipy) (CH3COO) •H2O]n (1) and [Gd(bipy)(CH3COO)]n (2), had been synthesized and characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction (XRD), infrared spectrum (IR), fluorescence spectra (IR) and thermogravimetric analysis. Results shown that the two MOFs belong to monoclinic system, space group P21/n. Eu/Gd-nuclear metal clusters in complex 1 and 2 were linked by 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (H2Pdc) ligand form 3D framework structure, and produce 1D channel with the pore size of 0.404 × 1.253 nm2 along the b-axis.
