Abstract

ABSTRACTThe compound [Fe2(Hmpp)4(OMe)2]⋅3MeOH (1) (Hmpp = 2-(4-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)phenol) was characterized by elementary analysis, IR, X-ray crystallography, and magnetic measurements. The X-ray crystallography results reveal that the molecule 1 consists of a binuclear iron(III) natural complex and three methanol molecules. In the complex, two Fe3+ ions are bridged by two μ2-OMe. Magnetic measurements indicate that the two Fe3+ ions are antiferromagnetically coupled.
