Abstract

A new novel Cu(II) compound formulated as Cu(C4N6H4)2Cl2 (1) (C4N6H4 = 1H-3,4'-bi-1,2,4-triazole) is successfully synthesized by a low-temperature hydrothermal method. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis shows that complex 1 was the monoclinic C2/c space group. The non-covalent intermolecular interaction formed a 3D supermolecule copper compound. It is characterized by XRD, IR spectroscopy, TG, elemental analysis and UV-visible spectrum in the solid state. In addition, triazole ligand as an active agent in compound 1 has been used to sense of H2O2.
