Abstract
In the present work, a higher dielectric constant microwave dielectric ceramic Ni0.5Ti0.5NbO4 was prepared by the solid state method. The ceramic powders were calcined at 1050 °C for 2 h and then sintered at various temperatures. The ceramic have been investigated using the X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and network analyzer. Singlephase Ni0.5Ti0.5NbO4 was obtained at the sintering temperature range of 1050-1200 °C. Dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency of Ni0.5Ti0.5NbO4 ceramics were studied depending on sintering temperatures. The excellent microwave properties of Ni0.5Ti0.5NbO4 ceramic was found at 1100 °C with r=62.37, Q· f =10,630 GHz, f =88.30 ppm/°C.
