Abstract
In medicinal chemistry, nitrogen and sulphur containing heterocyclic compounds are well known for their therapeutic properties.(1) Among them thiazole and pyrimidine derivatives possess diverse pharmaceutical activities.(2,3) More particularly thiazolo-pyrimidine fused shows various therapeutically activities like, anticancer, antimicrobial, antibacterial effects, antiviral ,etc (4-7). Such type of fused heterocycles containing furan and naphthalene moieties has not been developed. Thus, the aim of the present work to study the novel fused thiazolo-pyrimidine derivatives, their characterization and antifungal activity. (scheme-1).
