Abstract
Abstract A compound of the composition VO(OC6H4Bu-t-4)3 (I) has been synthesized by reacting VOC13 and Me3SiOC6H4Bu-t-4 in 1:3 molar ratio in anhydrous carbon tetrachloride. It was characterized by elemental analyses, conductance, molecular weight determination, 1H nmr and i. r. spectral studies. Reactions of (I) with 2,2′-bipyridyl, 1,10-phenanthroline and some aliphatic amines in 1:1 or 1:2 molar ratio have also been investigated.
