Abstract

In this work, photochromic coatings have been obtained by simultaneous deposition of cadmium chloride and cuprous chloride. Measurements of the half-darkening time, half-fading time, and the change of optical density as a function of the CdCl 2 and CuCl proportions are presented. To explain the variation of the change of optical density as a function of the composition of the photochromic coating, some calculations based on a regression model are carried out.
