Particles of Ba 2Mn x Zn 2− x Fe 12O 22 with planar structure were prepared by chemical precipitation. They were processed by sleep casting in presence of a magnetic field. The degree of alignment was improved by a special sintering treatment. By this procedure an alignment as high as 99.9% is obtained.
