Abstract Abstract A series of new compounds with cubic pyrochlore structure and mixed occupation of lattice sites in the general formula of (Bi1.5B'xB”0.5yZn0.5-x-0.5y) (Zn0.5B'''yNb1.5-y)(O7-x-yFx+y)(where B'=Li,Na;B”=Ca,Mg, Ni,Zn; B'''=Sn,Ti,Zr; 0≤x, y<0.4) were synthesized. The structure of these compounds has been recognized by XRD. Dense and uniform microstructure of dielectric ceramic body could be obtained with sintering temperatures lower than 1000°C. A low temperature dielectric anomaly has been observed in these materials, which were influenced by the processing and the cation and anion substitutions.
