Abstract
A new s-Ca 19Cu 2(PO 4) 14 monophosphate with the whitlockite-like structure was synthesized and its structure was determined by the Rietveld analysis ( R wp = 6.15%, R p = 4.66%, R 1 = 3.44%, R F = 2.08% for 758 reflections). The crystal symmetry is trigonal ( R3 c space group, Z = 3) and the hexagonal unit cell parameters are a = 10.3638(1) A ̊ , c = 37.219(2) A ̊ , and V = 3462(2) A ̊ 3 The copper atom is octahedrally coordinated.
