Abstract

The objective of this paper, the structure and optical properties of ZnO: Fe3O4 nanostructure were studied. Thin film deposited on glass substrates were prepared by pulse laser deposition Nd:YAG laser at (1064 nm) wavelength with a different laser energies (500,600 and 700) mJ was used. The effect of changing the laser energy on the morphological and the structure properties has been investigated using XRD, SEM and AFM showed that ZnO: Fe3O4 exhibited a FCC phase. AFM images also showed that the increased vaccination with magnesium led to an increase in the grain size ratio and a decrease in surface roughness. As for the optical properties, the absorption Spectrum was calculated and the optical energy gap for the prepared thin films. It was found the absorption increases and the energy gap decreases with the increase of doping ratio.
