Synthesis and characterization of the first palladium non-integer oxidation state complex of the DSIT ligand

Abstract

The synthesis and crystal structure of the first non-integer oxydation state complex of the dsit ligand, [(CH3)4N][Pd(dsit)2]2, are reported. This compound was prepared by electrochemical oxidation of the divalent [(CH3)4N]2[Pd(dsit)2] complex, and is isostructural with the molecular superconductor β-[(CH3)4N][Pd(dmit)2]2.
