Abstract
In this paper, Polyaniline (PANI) doped with iron oxide (Fe 2 O 3 ) nanocomposites were synthesized by using the chemical oxidation of pure aniline with ammonium peroxydisulfate (APS) as an oxidizer in an acidic medium. Spectroscopy techniques such as FTIR, XRD, and SEM were used to study the nanocomposite. Due to the formation of H-binding, the distinguishing FTIR peaks for pure PANI and doped Fe 2 O 3 nanocomposite have been reported to change to a higher or lower wavelength. The effect on the strength of the materials were analyzed using various sizes of Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles were used. The interface of Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles with PANI molecular chains was cited as the source of the results. The ability of PANI doped Fe 2 O 3 nanocomposites to inhibit the formation of struvite crystals was explored. At 5% PANI-doped Fe 2 O 3 nanocomposite, the size of the struvite crystals was reduced from 1.054 cm to 0.057 cm. The activity of integrated PANI doped Fe 2 O 3 against kidney stone (struvite) was inhibited by nanocomposites.
