Abstract

O,O-Dialkyl monothiophosphates of triorganotin(IV) of the general formula R3'SnO(S)P(OR)2 (where for R' = Me, R = Et, Pr-n, Pr-i, Bu-n, Ph; for IV = Et, R. = Pr-j; for R' = Pr-n, R. = Pr-i. R' = Bu-n, R = Pr-i and for R' = Ph. R. - Bu-n) have been synthesized by the reaction of dialkyl monothiophosphate and triorganotin (IV) chlorides in a 11 molar ratio in benzene. These compounds are hydrolyzable and soluble in common organic solvents and have been characterized by elemental analyses as well as spectroscopic methods (IR, 1H, 13C, 31P and 119Sn NMR) Their molecular weights are concentration dependent and dimer, trimer and polymeric structures are proposed
