Abstract

New cyclopentadienylruthenium(II) complexes of N-acetyltryptamine, N-acetyl- l-tryptophan ethyl ester, tryptophol, N-acetyl- l-tyrosine ethyl ester and N-acetyl- l-phenylalanine were synthesized by thermal ligand exchange reactions between cyclopentadienyl tris(acetonitrile)ruthenium(II) hexafluorophosphate and the corresponding substrate in 60–80% yields. The novel ruthenium(II) complexes were characterized by elemental analyses and spectroscopic methods ( 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy).
