Abstract
A new zinc phosphate [NH 3(CH 2) 4NH 3] 2+[Zn 2P 3O 9(OH) 3] 2−was synthesized under acidic conditions at room temperature. It crystallizes in triclinic space group P 1 (No. 2) with lattice parameters a=8.4003(8), b=8.6690(7), c=10.3523(15) Å, α=88.237(1), β=77.732(1), γ=86.406(1)°, V=735.1, Z=2, R=0.33, and R w=0.041. The structure consists of alternating inorganic and organic layers. The inorganic layers are held together by strong hydrogen bonding, creating cavities in which diprotonated diaminobutane molecules reside.
