Abstract
Calcium silicate ceramics with pseudo-wollastonite phase (α-CaSiO3) were synthesized by solid state reaction method with different additions of Al2O3. The X-ray diffraction patterns show that the primary crystal phase of obtained samples is α-CaSiO3. The addition of Al2O3 will induce a secondary phase of Ca2Al2SiO7. The accounts of added Al2O3 and calcining temperatures have obvious influence on bulk densities, dielectric constants, and quality factors of α-CaSiO3 ceramics. The α-CaSiO3 ceramic with 3wt% addition of Al2O3 calcined at 1225°C has the best properties.
