Abstract

Equimolar reactions of tin (II) chloride, tin(IV) chloride or dimethyltin dichloride with macrocyclic Schiff bases lead to the formation of a new series of tin(II) and tin(IV) complexes. An attempt has been made to prove the structures of the resulting complexes on the basis of elemental analysis, conductance measurements, molecular-weight determination, and electronic, IR and multinuclear magnetic resonance (1H, 13C and 119Sn) spectral studies.
