Abstract
A polymeric hemilabile phosphine was synthesized by the condensation reaction of tris(hydroxymethyl)phosphine with tetraethyleneglycol diamine. This polymer is moderately stable in air; it can be readily oxidized in high yield to its phosphine oxide analogue. The polymeric phosphine readily forms a complex by treatment with excess aqueous NiBr 2 solution
