Abstract
In recent years, the catalysts supported by eight-membered ring small-pore zeolites have attracted wide attention because of their excellent NH3-SCR reaction activity, hydrothermal stability as well as good resistance to HCs poisoning. CHA zeolite has been a good candidate for the NOx purification from automobile exhaust. In recent years, AEI, AFX, KFI and LTA zeolites were also found to present comparable performance for NOx elimination after being loaded Cu species. Nevertheless, how to synthesize these kinds of zeolites with excellent catalytic performance and stability at a low cost is one of the most important challenges faced by researchers. In order to have a better understand on application prospect of these small-pore sized zeolites in vehicle exhaust purification, in this work, the similarities and differences in structure and composition of 8-membered ring zeolites (8MRs) (CHA, AEI, AFX, KFI and LTA zeolites) as catalytic materials for diesel exhaust elimination reaction (NH3-SCR) as well as the corresponding mechanism were firstly reviewed. Then, the latest research progress in the synthesis strategy is systematically expounded from the synthetic factors of 8MR small-pore zeolites. Finally, the development prospect was proposed, which is expected to provide theoretical reference for the structure design of small-pore zeolites with high performance and high hydrothermal stability in the future.
