Abstract

The reaction of dibutyltin (IV) oxide with polyorganosiloxanes in the presence of aliphatic alcohols is shown to lead to the formation of both monomeric and polymeric functional heterosiloxanes. The composition and yield of the final products are defined by the character of the organic radical of the silicon atom and the reagents mole ratio.
