Abstract

By the “metalloligand” strategy, two new 3d–4f heterometallic metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), {[Ln 2Cu 3(IDA) 6] · 1.5H 2O} n [Ln = Tb ( 1) and Dy ( 2); H 2IDA = iminodiacetate acid], had been prepared. X-ray crystal structure analyses show that 1 and 2 possess of 3D frameworks with highly ordered 1D channels along the c axis. The highly stable skeleton and reversible de- and rehydration performance of 1 are demonstrated by thermogravimetric and powder X-ray diffraction analyses, and a low temperature magnetic study of 2 reveals a weak ferromagnetic interaction between the metal ions.
