Abstract

The need to determine the strategy of functional and structural transformations of the library's representation in a digital environment was stated. The methodological basis of such transformations was substantiated. Its essence is to provide a fundamental systemic deepening of integration interaction of library's information processes with research, science publishing and review-analytical technologies. The need to establish a key construct (concept, approach), that will act as the core of synergies in library and research activities, was noted. The imperative of the library's transition from the "catching up" to the "leading" development model was chosen as such a construct. It was emphasized that the library can no longer consider the introduction of information and communication technologies, tested in other areas, as a tool that will allow it to keep up with the times. A new approach to the systemic transformation of the library, which will correspond to the concept of a "leading" development model, is needed. The synergetic principles of interaction between library and research activities were chosen as the basis for this concept. The presence of significant results of using the synergetic approaches in the implementation of intra-library technology was stated. The need for their further development for integration with research, publishing, scientific and analytical processes and technologies was noted. This vector of transformations of the library and related environments will ensure the preservation of the library's identity and help increase its role and status in society.
