Abstract

ZSM–5 with high silica have been emerging as one of the most promising materials for fluid catalytic cracking (FCC). Although various synthesis methods have been reported, synthesis of ZSM–5 with high SiO2/Al2O3 ratio through crystal seeds method still remains a challenge. Herein, a facile method for ZSM–5 with improved SiO2/Al2O3 ratio was developed on the basis of synergy between crystal seeds and amphiphilic organosilane surfactant. In this strategy, the improved SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of ZSM–5 was obtained from the decreased introduction amount of Al species into zeolite framework due to the presence of –Si–(OH)3. In addition, intracrystalline mesopores were constructed by the introduction of amphiphilic surfactants.
