Abstract

In this study, piezocatalyst composites were synthesized using hybrid films of Ba(Zr,Ti)O3/Polyvinylidene fluoride (BZT/PVDF) with graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) for the Rhodamine B (RhB) discoloration. X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy analyses confirmed composite formation without altering short/long-range structures, stabilizing the β phase of PVDF. Scanning electron microscopy revealed crucial morphological changes influencing the piezocatalytic response of the films. RhB discoloration tests underscored the efficacy of BZT/GNP/PVDF composites due to enhanced system polarization provided by GNP. This work provides insights into the delicate balance of components for flexible, heavy metal-free piezocatalyst composites, advancing their design and applications.
