Abstract
The synergetic modification of electronic structure by nitrogen vacancy (VN) and hydroxyl is more beneficial to carrier separation for superior photocatalytic hydrogen rates (∼2253.6 μmol h−1 g−1) than merely VN modification of CN, which proved to generate deep trap states of electrons.
