Abstract
The plant amino acid mimosine reversibly blocks mammalian cycle at or near the G1/S phase boundary. It is one of the few compounds which has been shown to be useful for synchronizing various cell lines at this stage of the cell cycle. Mimosine can also affect synchronous release of primary human cells from G1 into S phase. In this report, experimental procedures are presented for synchronizing human peripheral blood lymphocytes and skin fibroblasts.
