Abstract
The Indonesian Government’s programs to reduce carbon gas emissions include reducing fossil energy sources and switching to renewable energy such as solar photovoltaic (PV). Solar PV applications are now common not only in the industry but also in the community. Solar energy is typically strongly influenced by weather in tropical countries like Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary to propose an energy supply to synchronise two supplies from solar photovoltaic and the state electricity company grid. This concept can use some special inverters. However, due to the high cost, it is rarely applied to residential users. The diode-blocking method aims to increase the stability of the supply system so that the load is not disturbed due to erratic weather conditions. Solar PV is used as the main power source, while the grid becomes a backup resource. The results of the diode block showed that in the synchronisation for 120 minutes of the solar PV, the energy is supplied from the grid, indicating a stable load supply. Thus, synchronising solar PV and the grid can provide continuous electrical power without interruption and optimally save grid electricity in any weather.
