Abstract

Non-generic renormalisation constraints are applied to field theories of arbitrary numbers of spinless bosons and spin-half fermions. The primary consequence is the generation of Lagrangians with specific symmetries. It is also shown how such conditions can lead to relationships between the numbers of boson and fermion fields, as in super-symmetry. New Light is shed on the significance of Dirac versus Majorana fields in this context.
