Abstract
ABSTRACT This study was conducted with the aim of gaining an insight into the living conditions of African children in a part of Southern Africa as experienced by the children. Family drawings made by 11 boys and 9 girls were analyzed. Data showed that the children made symbolic representations of their family situation in their family drawings. The children tended to use symbols indicative of emotional conflict.
