Abstract
Generalized frequency division multiplexing (GFDM) is fifth generation of wireless network technology and generalized of traditional Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Generalized frequency division multiplexing (GFDM) is the non-orthogonal subcarrier when designing a transmitter. In this paper, a simulation of GFDM system has been carried out for evaluation of symbol error rate performance in different scenario. The simulation has been performed with additive white gaussian channel and zero forcing channel for different signal to noise ratio values with the help of root raised cosine filter. The impact of filter parameter on symbol error rate has also been evaluated for modulation techniques. In this paper also present advantage of pulse shaped root raised cosine filter in GFDM. Hence, the design of GFDM waveform is important for its performance. The design of pulse shaping filter used in GFDM based wireless system, have an impact on the performance of system in presence of inter symbol interference.
