Abstract

This paper will explore Aloysius Pieris’ view of symbiosis as the best in theology of religions. He proposes a categorization of synthesis, syncretism and symbiosis as theology of religions instead of popular threefold typology; excluivism, inclusivism and pluralism because he has seen that these three positions as Western intellectual imperialism. Among synthesis, syncretism and symbiosis, he proposes that symbiotic approach is the most relevant for interreligious relationship in order to get harmony among religions. I will argue that symbiotic approach is any contradiction with religious pluralism.
