Abstract
From bremsstrahlung isochromats the density of states at the Fermi level and the characteristic energy losses of Gd, Dy, GdAl2, Gd0.5Dy0.5Al2, GdNi2 and GdMnAl were obtained. In the case of the Laves phases investigated the connection between X-ray emission spectra, bremsstrahlung isochromats and magnetic measurements have been observed.
