Abstract

The high-quality development of vocational education under the background of the New Vocational Education Law has advantages provides advantages for the system, policy, and internationalization of vocational education, but disadvantages for the caliber of students, teachers, and job prospects for graduates. The New Vocational Education Law has strengthened new guarantees, given new tasks and created new spaces for the high-quality development of China's vocational education. The ongoing dearth of trained people in the industrial sector has created new possibilities for the high-quality advancement of vocational education in China. Threats to the high-quality growth of vocational education in China, however, include a drop-in enrollment, a lack of financing for operating institutions, and social prejudice. For the high-quality development of vocational education in China, it is necessary to seize new opportunities for the implementation of the New Vocational Education Law, effectively remove institutional barriers that obstruct the high-quality development of vocational education; implement the specific provisions of the New Vocational Education Law as soon as possible, establish a new management system that supports the high-quality development of vocational education; continue to advocate for a fresh wave of change in the way that vocational education evaluations are conducted, and exert every effort to create an effective evaluation system that is both scientific and tailored to the high-quality development of vocational education in China.
