Abstract

Current Error Space Vector (CESV) based hysteresis controller for two level voltage source inverter fed Induction Motor(IM) drives with switching frequency variation control is proposed in this paper. Fast dynamic response, adjacent voltage vector switching are the key features of this proposed controller. The current error boundary for individual voltage vectors is calculated using the stator voltages estimated from the current ripple. The current error is reduced by selecting only those inverter voltage vectors of the present sector which are near to the machine voltage vectors for the entire range of operation. In the proposed scheme harmonic spectrum of phase voltage exactly matches with that of constant switching frequency Voltage controlled Bus clamping Space Vector Pulse Width Modulated (BCSVPWM) IM drive with Thirty and Sixty degree clamping techniques. The proposed hysteresis controller based inverter fed drive scheme is simulated using MATLAB SIMULINK for steady state and transient performance.
