Abstract
Experimental results on MISS devices are reported. The insulating layer was obtained by means of electron gun evaporation of undoped polycrystalline silicon. A model taking into account the specific conduction mechanisms in the semi-insulating polysilicon layer has been developed. This model explains the experimental I-V characteristics and gives rise to a switching condition relation similar to that of p- n- p- n devices.
